You can either pat your skin with a cotton pad soaked in buttermilk and let it wait for several minutes to action, before rinsing with warm water or you can prepare a mixture by combining 4 tbsp of buttermilk with 2 tbsp of tomato juice. This mixture should be applied on the affected area and left to rest for several minutes.

Either of the two remedies should be used once or twice a week in order to get positive results.

Another beneficial ingredient is oil. Thanks to their healing properties, natural oils are one of the best allies against brown spots. You can apply some castor oil on your skin with a cotton ball, then let it rest on your skin for several hours. Repeat the treatment twice a day. Alternatively, you can use vitamin E oil, olive oil, coconut oil or even almond oil. They are all rich in vitamins and nutrients and will help your skin cure.

Aloe Vera is also very efficient when it comes to getting rid of brown spots. Among its many properties, we highlight the healing power, which is quite crucial in this case. This ingredient can be used either as a gel or as a juice. If you decide to use the juice, all you have to do is soak a cotton pad in the juice and apply it on your skin. Let it action for several hours and then rinse with warm water. For better effects, repeat this process twice a day. Alternatively, you can use the gel. Simply apply it on your brown spots and rinse the remedy after several hours. A daily basis should be more than enough to have a clear skin again.

A very common ingredient – yogurt – can combat the dark spots. Since you have it in the kitchen, you can apply on your skin 2 or 3 tbsp by using a cotton ball. You should let the remedy sit up to 20 minutes or even overnight, then wash your skin. If you prefer to wear a mask you can combine 1 tbsp of yogurt with 1 tbsp of lemon juice and 2 tbsp of oatmeal. Apply the resulting paste on the affected area, then allow it to action for half an hour. Once you remove the remedy, make sure you moisturize your skin.

If you are a fan of onions, you should know that you can also use them to remove the brown spots from your skin.

Simply apply rub fresh slices of onion on your skin, leaving them rest for 10 minutes. Repeating this exercise every week will help you restore your skin its glow. You can also use onion juice. For instance, combine 1 tbsp of onion juice with 2 tbsp of organic honey, then spread the resulting paste on your skin. Let the mask action for 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Follow this procedure two times per week.

Did you ever think that tomato juice can have another use rather than regular consumption? Well you can use it to remove the brown spots on your skin. By simply drinking a tomato-lemon juice every day, your skin will get lighter and cleaner with each day that passes.

As apple cider vinegar is a multifunctional ingredient, it can also help you get rid of dark spots. Since it dries the skin, it will also dry the spots. Opt for it!

You can combine 2 tbsp of ACV with 1 cup of water and 1 tsp of honey. After you mix well, you must apply the remedy on your dark spots, then repeat the treatment daily. Alternatively, you can mix ½ tbsp of ACV with 1 tbsp of orange juice and let the remedy rest on your skin up to 10 minutes, before rinsing it off. Following this procedure twice a day will make your skin cleaner sooner.

Another natural remedy that fights efficiently the brown spots on your skin is sandalwood, because its has anti-ageing and antiseptic properties.

You can prepare a composition by adding 2 tbsp of each rose water and sandalwood and 1 tbsp of each lemon juice and glycerine. The resulting composition must be applied on the skin and let to action for 10 minutes before removing it with cold water. If you follow this procedure 3 times every week you will forget about brown spots for good.

Another way to use sandalwood is to combine it with orange juice. Pour in a bowl 1 tbsp of orange juice, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, 2 tbsp of sandalwood and 1 vitamin E capsule.  Apply the resulting composition on the affected skin and let it rest for 2 hours before rinsing it off your skin. Apply this mask every week.

If you think it is simpler and more effective you can apply on your skin a combination of sandalwood oil and olive oil. By repeating this remedy every day and letting it sit on your skin overnight, you will soon have a perfect skin.

Red currants are usually used to bake cakes, but you can also give then another use: brown spot remover. You need to prepare a mixture by combining ¼ cup of currants previously mashed with 1 tbsp of honey. Spread this paste on the affected area and let it action for about 10 minutes. Remove the remedy with lukewarm water and also apply some diluted lemon juice to remove the oil from your skin. Repeat weekly for positive results.

A natural but very efficient way to get rid of brown spots is to use rose water. Apart from removing this impurities from your skin, this ingredient will also make your skin glow and look brighter.

Take 1 tbsp of rose water and mix it with 2 tbsp of sandalwood powder. Cover the brown spots with the resulting composition and let the treatment rest for 15 minutes. Rinse your face with tepid water and make sure you follow this remedy every week.


  • Consume at least 2l of water every day in order to hydrate your skin and eliminate the toxins;
  • Always apply sunscreen when exposing your skin under the UV rays;
  • Avoid smoking or staying in places with too much smoke;
